Flood Insurance Workshop For New Flood Maps In Harris County - Register Today!

 

 

Harris County, in coordination with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is reaching important milestones in their efforts to identify flood risk. Using the most current data and the latest modeling and digital mapping technologies, FEMA has released preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) depicting the current flood risks for portions of Harris County.

Local officials in Harris County have partnered with FEMA to hold an Insurance Workshop to help you:

  • Better understand where the changes are occurring on the new flood maps,
  • Know more about the Newly Mapped Procedure and Grandfather rating option, 
  • Learn about the impacts of reform legislation and changes to the National Flood Insurance Program, and 
  • Know what online tools and resources are available to assist you.
