Brazoria County, TX Agents: New Flood Maps are issued

Flood Insurance Workshop For New Flood Maps In Brazoria County - Register Today!


Brazoria County, in coordination with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is reaching important milestones in their efforts to identify flood risk. Using the most current data and the latest modeling and digital mapping technologies, FEMA has released preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) depicting the current flood risks for portions of Brazoria County.

Local officials in Brazoria County have partnered with FEMA to hold an Insurance Workshop to help you:

  • Better understand where the changes are occurring on the new flood maps,
  • Know more about the Newly Mapped Procedure and Grandfather rating option, 
  • Learn about the impacts of reform legislation and changes to the National Flood Insurance Program, and 
  • Know what online tools and resources are available to assist you.



When: June 13, 2019 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The Texas Department of Insurance will also share resources and information at this workshop. This information is also valuable to real estate professionals, lenders, builders, and surveyors.

Note: There will be a Mapping Insurance Gallery Walk at the same location from 5-7 p.m. on June 13, 2019 for the public to come view the maps to see how their property may have been affected and learn what options they may have.
